Today was the first kinda warm day today, and the sun was shining, so I decided to take to the streets and shoot some photos. I was craving Church’s chicken on 8th Ave., but I got distracted by the shiny shinies of Times Square like all the tourists, and wandered in there for a while. I don’t recall being there much during the day, so it was kind of fun to see it before the neon mega-glow kicks in at dusk. It was interesting because the HUGE outdoor screens were competing with the sunlight and shadows of the monolithic buildings of the city. Buildings from Bank of America, the New York Times, Conde Nast, and others seem to not just be casting dark shadows over the city, but also the economy. Take a look.
